Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser- Great product, Great price!

AlboleneSome moms may know Albolene® as a gentle, skin moisturizing, makeup remover; it also has a new, clinically-proven use for the treatment of mild to moderate eczema, according to a new study in the March 2009 issue of the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology. Albolene is just as effective as a leading prescription moisturizer, Mimyx® in the reduction of dryness, scaling, itching, redness and peeling related to mild to moderate eczema. And, Albolene costs a fraction of the price and has widespread availability in the drug store for a suggested retail price of $9.95 for a 12–ounce jar. Although the study focused on eczema sufferers 18 and older, Albolene is as safe and effective on children, according to dermatologist David Bank, MD.

For the 10 percent of babies and children suffering from eczema, it is important to find a safe and effective, non-drug treatment to quickly stop the itch.   Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser is readily available in stores or at online stores like Drugstore.com,  and has been clinically proven for the treatment of mild to moderate eczema. Albolene is made with mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin, and ceresin which provide superior skin moisturization by trapping the moisture, which is a key factor in treating eczema in both children and adults.

I received a sample-size tube of Albolene Moisturizing Cleanser to try for this review, and I used it two ways- one, as an eye makeup remover. I wear waterproof mascara which is tough to get off. A little dab of Albolene on a cotton pad removed all the mascara and the skin around my eyes felt moisturized and soft afterwards. I also used it on my extremely dry heels and found that my skin looked and felt less dry right away and it lasted until the next day. I’m sold!

Stuff those Stockings with Suave

When you are picking up stocking stuffers for your family, or putting together a care package to send to someone, or buying items to give to a family in need this holiday, I’d like to ask you to please consider purchasing products from Suave. They aren’t paying me to say that, either.  I did, however, receive a few sample items courtesy of Suave and Weber Shandwick so I could see for myself just how well Suave products work without costing a fortune.  I loved every thing they sent! I’ve been buying Suave products for years, and every year they just get better and better. Hair care, skin care, whatever you need, Suave has it!

I’m using Suave Vibrant Shine Shampoo and Conditioner, even on my thick, color-treated, prone to frizziness hair, and I am so happy with the results I’m getting. I’m also using Suave Vibrant Shine Mist sprayed on lightly after my hair is dry to get that extra boost of shine.  There’s also a Vibrant Shine Finishing Hairspray for styles that need extra hold. Why not put together a Vibrant Shine Hair Care gift pack to give to a special person?

Suave Naturals Sweet Pea and Violet deodorant not only smells fantastic, but it works really well, too. I also got a sample of Suave 24 Hour Protection deodorant in Unscented, which was immediately snapped up by my 12 year old son, who does not want to “smell flowery” lol.  A lot of people are on really tight budgets right now, and everybody uses deodorant, so I see no reason not to slip a new stick into a Christmas stocking.

Do you know someone with dry skin? Someone who likes their skin to be soft and smell good? Someone who could use a product that really pampers them, that helps them relax and unwind? I’ve got JUST the thing- Suave Exhale Calming Lotion in Lavender Vanilla.  I’m telling you what, it smells AMAZING. It comes in body wash too, and it’s the rich, moisturizing kind of body wash. The bottle says it has Vitamin E, Provitamin B5, and White Tea extracts. I just know that it smells SO good.  Why not pamper a new Mom with a gift of Suave Exhalme Calming Lotion and Body Wash? Or, you know, yourself? :)

I know that shampoo and deodorant aren’t the traditional holiday gifts, but budgets are tight this year and people need pampering. I was thrilled to get a box of shampoo, conditioner, styling products, deodorant and lotion! I bet someone special on your gift list would be too.
