Giveaway – Freschetta By the Slice Review and Giveaway

This giveaway is closed. Congratulations to the winner, comment #9 from Loving Heart Designs!

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of FRESCHETTA® for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

For a meal or for a snack, FRESCHETTA® By the Slice pizzas are a great way to have pizza anytime!  Available in four varieties,  Freschetta By The Slice is a single slice cut from a whole pizza. You get one perfect slice of pizza in minutes with the same premium ingredients and oven-baked taste right out of the microwave.

Freschetta By the Slice’s four varieties are BBQ Recipe Chicken, Chicken, Spinach & Mushroom, Six Cheese Medley, and Veggie Medley.  My daughter loves cheese pizza, so being able to buy it by the slice and keep it in the freezer until she wants it for lunch is incredibly convenient for me.  I have to be honest, I like thicker crust than the crust on By the Slice, but I do like the cheeses and sauce on the Six Cheese Medley.

Check out what’s happening with Freschetta by following them on Twitter at @FreschettaPizza and by liking Freschetta on Facebook.  And, to win a coupon for a free Freschetta By the Slice and a 6 piece set of plastic storage bowls and lids, enter my giveaway!

    Ashworth College Loves The Military

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Ashworth College for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

Thanks to benefits available through the Post-9/11 GI Bill, military personnel and their families can receive up to $13,500/35 months of education benefits.  To make those benefits stretch even further, Ashworth College, which is a 100% online and accredited school, is now enrolling military students.

Ashworth College already offers tuition that is fifty percent less than the average accredited online school, which means those GI Bill benefits stretch even further. Students can use their funds to take more classes, or share them with a spouse or dependant.  And because Ashworth is 100% online, their classes fit your schedule.

By combining GI Bill benefits with Ashworth’s low tuition, it’s possible for military graduates to graduate without debt.  How nice would that be??  The student loan I needed to finish my senior year at MSU took me years to pay off. Of course back then, online school hadn’t been invented :)

If you or someone you know qualifies for the GI Bill, take a look at Ashworth College to make those benefits go further while getting the education required for today’s job market. I think it’s terrific that Ashworth is helping military students get the degree they want and need!

Raising a Father – Book Review

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Raising a Father. All opinions are 100% mine.

My father was a great Dad, but his job required him to be away from home a lot. I’ll admit that as a kid, I often felt bad that he wasn’t at my band concerts or choir performances because he was out of town for his job. Now that I’m married and see how hard my husband works to provide for us, I understand my Dad a lot better. Still, sometimes I wish he had been home more and had spent more time with me.

In his book Raising a Father, Arjun Sen tells the story of how he left his corporate job to start a home-based business so he could spend more time with his daughter who was ten at the time. I’ve only seen his website and watched the short video announcing the book so I don’t know exactly what happened, but something happened on September 12, 2001 that showed Mr. Sen the error of his ways. I do know that a work friend told him “Arjun, in order to achieve bigger glories, one must make smaller sacrifices in life.”

Mr. Sen didn’t want his relationship with his daughter to become one of those sacrifices, so he quit his job, started a business he could do from home, and even made his daughter the manager. Raising a Father tells the story of how Raka Sen taught her dad to become a better father and a better person. This book would make a wonderful Holiday gift for any father of a daughter! Raising a Father: Memoirs Of A Dad, Challenged By His Daughter To Live For Today’s Special Moments. is available on Amazon.com for a very reasonable $9.63.
