Lands’ End Sun Life

Summer is coming and that means our kids will be spending more time out in the sun, and that means thinking about keeping their skin safe. With that in mind, Lands’ End has a new Sun.Life collection, a full line of adjustable, breathable, and comfortable clothes for the entire family with an Ultraviolet Protection Factor (UPF) rating of 30 or 50, which protects 96.7 to 97.5 percent of the sun’s harmful rays. In fact the reason Lands’ End created this new line of clothing is because according to a recent Lands’ End survey of 1,400 moms across the country more than eight out of ten (87 percent) believe sun protective clothing for the family is important.

landsendSince my 10 year old son is already spending a lot more time outside now that Michigan is finally heading into Spring, I got him the Boys’ Short Sleeve Sun Life T-Shirt. You can tell the material is breathable, and he said it was very comfortable to wear. The line also includes clothing for Men, Women, and Girls, all with 30 or 50 SPF protection.

Happy Panda-clothes for bigger babies

Any of my readers who have seen photos of my daughter Kaitlyn know that she is not a “bigger” baby. She’s barely 30 pounds at three years old, but she has a long torso. I buy her 4T tops and roll up the sleeves so they are long enough to reach her waist. I got to chatting on Twitter with Pamela from Happy Panda about her baby boutique that carries clothes sized for bigger babies, and she asked me if I wanted to review a t-shirt. She assured me that the one I picked would fit Kaitlyn, in a size 2T. I was skeptical, but look:

My son Ryan was definitely a “happy panda” baby. Whatever age he was, he was always double that in size. It was hard to tell people what size clothes to buy him for gifts because it depended on the brand and what type of clothing it was! Pamela Kramer had a similar problem that led to her creating this unique brand of clothing:

Her first baby boy grew so quickly that he was wearing a size 2T before his first birthday. His growth rate made it difficult for friends and family to shop for him by age. The standard size charts did not apply. She became frustrated trying to find clothes that fit while offering the ability to get through those quick diaper changes without completely undressing her baby…The Happy Panda brand exists to help dress bigger babies. Our design system will help customers find a better fit when shopping by age. Happy Panda produces high quality babywear, designed and made in the USA, using environmentally safe fabrics and inks for the safest, most comfortable fit for the happy panda in your life. Our customers will enjoy knowing that the baby they buy for will be comfortable with our tagless products.

If you are looking for a baby gift for someone who is having a hard time finding well-fitting clothes for their bigger baby, check out  Happy Panda Boutique for adorable onesies, t-shirts, pants, gift sets, and more!
