Take-A-Seat 3 in 1 Bike Rack, Cargo Carrier, and Tailgate Seat

The following post is sponsored by Take-A-Seat:

This is so cool, you guys. Take-A Seat attaches to a trailer hitch and transports three bikes, or holds cargo like a large cooler securely in place, or unfolds to make a convenient seat! Take a look:

Take-A-Seat 3 in 1

Take-A-Seat’s heavy duty box steel frame is powder coated to protect it from wear and tear, and it attaches to either a 2″ or 1-1/4″ hitch. A cover is included to protect it from the elements when not in use. The fabric that makes up the tailgate seat is UV protected and coated with polyurethane to stand up to any weather. Black is the standard fabric, but you can jazz it up by choosing one of the optional colors (costs extra) – Blaze Orange, Burgundy, Cardinal Red, Hunter Green, or Royal Blue.

The seat adjusts to 40 different heights and holds up to 500 pounds for the 2″ model, and 350 pounds for the 1-1/4″ model. Perfect for tailgating at a game, watching fireworks, listening to an outdoor concert, or while camping. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention, it comes with two attachable cup holders! Gotta have those!

There’s also a very cool tilt feature that lets you move the hitch out of the way so you can open up the rear hatch of your vehicle.  For one product that combines three things in one – bike carrier, cargo holder, and bench seat – the price of  Take-A-Seat seems really reasonable to me. Larkspur Landing All Suite Hotels

Larkspur Landing, a group of eleven hotels in California, Oregon and Washington State, asked me to review their site and spread the word to my readers about their all-suite hotels and extended stay hotels, which would be perfect for both family vacations and corporate travel.

I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels over the past three years, and I’ve come to realize that amenities make a big difference in how relaxed I feel during the trip and even how well I sleep while I’m there. Larkspur Landing Hotels feature feather beds, complimentary in-room high speed Internet, a fully-equipped kitchen right in the room,  and a complimentary Healthy Start Breakfast.  And when they say fully-equipped kitchen, they mean stove, sink, dishes, flatware, cookware, everything.

Both the one and two bedroom suites at Larkspur Landing hotels have large business size desks, two-line phones with voicemail plus a cordless phone, direct printing to the business center,  separate chair and ottoman, even a CD player and DVD player, with free DVDs available at the front desk!

So, where can you find a Larkspur Landing hotel?  In California, locations are in Pleasanton, San Francisco, Campbell, Milpitas, Sunnyvale, Folsom, Roseville, and Sacramento. In the Portland, Oregon area, visit Larkspur Landing Hillsboro, and in the Seattle, Washington area, Larkspur Landing hotels are in Bellevue and Seattle/Renton.

The Pleasanton Hotel is located near both the Oakland and San Francisco airports, and is close to the corporate headquarters of many businesses. Larkspur Landing’s Sacramento Hotel is near Cal State Sacramento and is just three miles from downtown Sacramento.  Need to travel to the corporate offices of Hewlett Packard, NEC, or Oracle?  The Larkspur Landing Roseville Hotel is just minutes away from them, and there are restaurants, theaters and a shopping mall nearby as well.

Looking at all of the websites for these hotels is making me wish I had a reason to travel to California, Oregon or Washington so I could stay in one of the beautiful Larkspur Landing Hotels! Hope you’ll click the links and check them out for yourself.

BeBe ChaCha Sticker Placemats

My family loves to eat out. After twelve years of taking kids to restaurants, there’s one thing I can say for sure-paper placemats DO NOT WORK for kids.  Even the ones with the puzzles and coloring section on them will eventually get soaked with water after the toddler tries to drink their ice water with a spoon, or the whole placemat will end up flying through the air after it is swept aside by flying kid arms.

Which then leaves Mom and Dad to figure out how to dole out bits of crackers or whatever they’ve brought to keep the kid occupied for the 20 minutes it takes for the food to come to the table, and THEN figure out how to keep either the food on the plate or the plate itself on the table. It’s exhausting!

picresized_th_1222772662_bebechacha_package_picks_004_resizedBeBe ChaCha Sticker Placemats are the answer to your dining out prayers, people. You get twelve really big (11′ by 14′)  sheets with adhesive backing and fun geometric prints on the front in four colors, packaged in a zip-shut bag that fits in your diaper bag or purse. You just unfold one, peel off half the backing, place it where you want it, then peel off the other half and stick it down. The surface meets safety standards so your child can eat their food right on the mat. It’s designed to be easy to remove, you just peel it right off.

And the best part? The price is $7.59 for a pack of twelve. Seriously! For $7.59 you can get one sandwich with chips and a drink for lunch, OR you can buy TWELVE reusable placemats right from the BeBe ChaCha site! Pretty nifty.  I’d like to thank BeBe ChaCha for sending me a pack of placemats to use in exchange for this review, they have sure come in handy!
