ServeMeHere Mobile Services for Moms

servemeherelogo

I remember the days when all you could have delivered were pizza, chinese food, and the daily newspaper. ServeMeHere is the first Free Online Professional Appointment Matching Community. Professionals use the site to list their company information, list the services they provide, and post their daily appointments schedule online. Clients can view the services and make appointments right online, and decide whether they want to visit the professional at their place of business or look for a service that will come to their home.

Best of all, ServeMeHere is 100% FREE for both professionals and clients to use!

So what kinds of services does ServeMeHere offer? Well, let’s say you would like a chef to come to your house and cook a special meal for you and your significant other. Or you want your nails done but you need someone to come to your office during your lunch break. Services fall into one of four categories:

  • Take Care of Me- Health, beauty, caregivers, life coach, personal trainer, spiritual.
  • Do It For Me- Chef, notary, pet sitter, babysitter, contractors, labor.
  • Teach Me- Cooking, dance, sports, music, foreign language.
  • Advise Me- Loans, insurance, consulting, real estate, legal.

There are also classified listings for groups, jobs, housing and more.

The site serves all 50 states and it’s free, so you really have nothing to lose by checking it out.  Find whatever or whomever you need right from your computer!

Shop, Save, Share and Earn at Buxr

buxr_logoAs if the Internet wasn’t already awesome enough, nowadays with just a few mouse clicks, you can find coupons, discounts, sales, and deals on just about anything you want to buy.  Buxr is a site that lets you share the deals you find, shop for them right from the site, AND earn cash prizes for posting the best deals!

It works like this- sign up for a Buxr account or sign in using your Google account. You can use the site without registering for it, but if you do register, you get these great benefits:

  • Participate in deal contests
  • Customize deals view to your preference (coming)
  • Flag dead & expired deals

Web Publishers:

  • Make money with commissions from the Buxr Deals Widget
  • Manage your widget and track widget performance

I recommend clicking the Watch Video link in the top right corner of the site for a terrific tutorial on how to get the most out of the site.  Then, browse the Latest Hot Deals on the left side of the screen. Use the dropdown menu to choose Hot Deals from the last one through five days.

You can also search for coupons for popular brands like Dell and Amazon.com, read and participate in Active Discussions about deals, see winners and top contributors, and get links to deals expiring that day.  You can also customize the main page by adding or subtracting modules so that you always see what you are most interested in first.

Deals can be something that’s free, on sale, a printable or in-store coupon, or just a really great price for something.  You can search by category, and once you are on a deal page, see any other deals for that same manufacturer or store. I’ve registered for a  Free Kraft Savings Booklet and Calendar, printed a page of dollar-off coupons for Meijer, and made a note of a great deal on a box fan at Home Depot. And I didn’t have to visit three separate sites to do it!

Submit deals and WIN CASH! The members who lists the best online deals of the day win $10 each  and/or $5 for submitting the best in-store only offer. In addition the winner who gains the most votes overall during the contest day will receive a bonus $5 on top of his/her award.

Buxr asked me for my feedback on the site itself, and I have one suggestion. It can be hard to find areas of the site, there were pages I didn’t know existed until I happened to click on something. I’d like to see a Navigation Bar all the way across the top of the site with links to each internal page. For example, to get to the Dashboard Module page I mentioned above, I had to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the main page and click “add module”. A link at the top to the Dashboard would be much easier to use.

Other than that, I think Buxr is a really great idea and I appreciate having links to so many different kinds of deals in one place.  So, MomReviews readers, take a minute and go check out Buxr. You’re going to shop anyway, you might as well save money!

Making Life Better with Unilever

For this Mom Central blog tour, we’re taking a look at the website Making Life Better, created by Unilever. Unilever manufactures many of the brands that you probably either use or are familiar with, including All, Axe, Bertolli , Ben & Jerry’s, Breyers, Caress, Degree, Hellman’s/Best Foods, I Can’t Believe It’s Not Butter, Lipton Tea, Q-Tips, Ragu, Skippy, Slim-Fast, Snuggle, Suave, Vaseline, Wish-Bone, and Wisk. Whew!

Making Life Better is packed with articles, tips, and information. Article categories include Food and Recipes, Beauty & Style, Home & Family, and Vitality & Wellness. Check out the Memorial Day Menu for some new ways to fix cookout favorites like hot dogs, hamburgers, and potato salad. To see cooking videos including how to make Lipton Pomegranate Tea, check out the Making Life Better YouTube channel.

The News & Offers category includes several Sweepstakes that you can enter, but you need to be a member of the site. Trust me, it’s painless! After you take a short survey about brands you have purchased, information you look for online, and websites you frequent, you’ll be a member of the site.

Members can save their favorite recipes, articles and tips to My Favorites so they can easily find them later, use their MLB login to join the free Family Organizer site Cozi, enter a monthly $500 gift card sweepstakes with daily instant win prizes too, and lots more!

Making Life Better.com really is packed with useful information, and since I use and love products from most of the brands featured on the site, I’m sure I’ll be visiting the site often. Hope you’ll check it out!

Disclosure: Thanks to Mom Central and Unilever, I’ll be receiving Unilever products and coupons in exchange for writing this post.
